This section contains backpacking stoves and propane camp stoves that will make your life more enjoyable while you are backpacking or camping.
Survival Tips: Make sure your stove is in good working order before you hit the trail. Put fuel in the tank or attach a canister and light the stove to see if the burner works properly and all the holes are clear. If your stove takes liquid fuel, check to see that there are no leaks. Screw on the filler cap and tilt the stove (unlighted) in all directions to see that nothing leaks out. You don’t want your stove to leak into your backpack. Check all O-rings and seals for wear and cracking. Replace them as necessary. If your stove uses liquid fuel avoid getting liquid fuel on your hands, especially in winter. You could get frostbite from it.
